We know it’s a thing! We see your blank smiles when we say words and terms that you’re not sure about! Here are a few photo references to maybe help that!

…and of course, never be scared to ask questions!

ARCHES

〰️

ARCHES 〰️

TRIANGULAR arch

The design on it is ASYMMETRICAL because if you cut it in half, the two sides would not match up!

(Just Joni Images 2023)

DISJOINTED ARCH or TOWERS

These are two arches that are not connected in the middle. These can be made different ways. (one shorter, one taller or both the same height // all greens, all flowers, mixed etc etc)

RECTANGULAR arch

It has COMPLETE or TOTAL COVERAGE, since you cannot see the main framing of it!

Fern and Fountain Photography

Hexagonal or Octagonal Arch

It has 6 or 8 sides!

This arch has an asymmetric sign, but a foot higher on the left side, and it would be closer to a symmetrical design!

Ladder Arch

This one is ALMOST exclusively at Cork Factory Ballroom, Lancaster.

They literally have a wooden ladder hung in the air.

SPORADIC Flower Clusters

These are sporadic flower clusters on our 3 Musketeer Arches!

Its random but beautiful!

Mini Roof Florals

This is another one that usually is specific to Historic Shady Lane located in Manchester, PA"

This is a floral arrangement on the Mini Roof of the greenhouse.

Definitely a fan favorite!

BOUQUETS 〰️

ALL-BLOOM Bouquet

No greens to be seen!

HOOPS

These are usually - but not always, for bridesmaids! It is a hoop of metal or wood and has a cluster of flowers attached to it!

TRADITIONAL Cascade

More “google-able” This is the more traditional elongated upside down teardrop.

And for the love of all things beautiful — do NOT hold this with the point in your face!!!

April and Bryan Photography

“TENDRILS”

On the right side of this bouquet, you can see a tendril. It’s a longer piece of the bouquet. Usually a green or an amaranthus of some type!

Lizzy Joe Photography

Textural But Romantic

You’ve got textural aspects like the filler in here, but still have those big romantic blooms!

Bianca Tang Photography

MODERN CASCADE Bouquet

Less “80’s”, more natural falling. Lots of “Tendrils”

Boutonnieres

〰️

Boutonnieres 〰️

Pin Boutonniere

The usual “prom” pin-on boutonniere!

Annie Sharpe Photography

POCKET Boutonniere

This is a boutonniere on a card that fits into the suit jacket breast pocket. Usually described as more of a horizontal line of flowers versus a mini “bouquet” that you have to pin on.

Tip: Make sure the suits have pockets before ordering these!

April and Mike Photography

A Lapel Boutonniere

This is quite literally the entirety of one of your jacket lapels covered in flowers.

No Jackets are harmed in the making of these!

DOGGO Boutonniere

For those blessed enough to have their pet on the premises on the big day, you can order a doggo boutonniere, or clip. It comes usually on an alligator clip for easy adhesion to the collar!

Megan Hoffer Photography

Cake Flowers

Not for the table, but literally for a cake!

It can be 1 tier or 1200 tiers.

This is what we’d call sporadic!

Garnet Dahlia photography

Cake Garden

This is a literal array of flowers surrounding your cake.

A Personal favorite!

Flowers for detail shots!

I’ve never known a photographer to turn these down!

Elizabeth Mae Photography

Floral Chandelier

This can come in many designs but generally it is flowers dripping from some sort of structure in the air!
